Nearly 250,000 have signed up for FuboTV’s streaming service

FuboTV may not popular name recognition of some other live TV streaming service. However, in second quarter, FuboTV says platform usage was up 200 percent. It also saw addition of 30,000 subscribers for entire third quarter. FuboTV users watched 3 billion minutes of content, has grown 364 percent, to 51 hours. The revenue also increasing rapidly, with an annualized revenue rate of $102 million in September 2018, compared to $28 million in September 2017.

First launched in 2015, FuboTV focused on soccer streaming service. The company has improved its streaming service so not just offering live game from the NFL, MLB, NCAA, NBA and others, but also carrying networks like CBS, NBC and AMC. Marketing push FuboTV does to brand itself as a destination streaming service for sports fans.  Co-founder and CEO David Gandler said People coming through the sports and they stay for entertainment.

The startup company recently also launched a live recommendations product and this summer, it was first live TV streaming service to launch a 4K HDR feature in a beta program that included NCAA college football, MLB playoffs and English Premier League soccer.
