Amazon has launched a News App on Fire TV

Amazon introducing new ad-supported video streaming service called News. The app is free to watch and no download or subscription is required. The app allow Fire TV users to watch news from popular news providers like Bloomberg, CBS News, Entertainment Weekly, Reuters, Sport Illustrated and more. Then, the next time you want to watch the news ,all you have to say is, “Alexa, play the news” and it will automatically open the app and play content from your favorite channels.

The News app will appear in your home screen in the ‘Your Apps and Channels’ row. This App will be available to Fire TV customers in the U.S over the next few weeks. So if you don’t see it right now, don’t worry, you will soon. News will also available on Fire tablets, such as the Updated HD 10. No need to create separate account to access all the content that’s available through News.

Amazon attempt to increase its ad revenue from the ad supported News app. Customers will get news experience that free to watch, customizable and makes it easy to watch news content from multiple providers in a single destination.
